Christmas 2020 Reservations
December 17, 2020 Update: Our prayers have been answered! We are thankful that the 9th Circuit has vacated their previous decision. In light of this, Bishop Thomas has made the decision to allow churches to open up to 25% occupancy effective immediately.
What about Christmas? We are excited that all who made reservations with us for Christmas will be able to join us inside of the parish. We started accepting reservations for Christmas in October, and filled up just last week.
If you weren’t able to register in time, you are encouraged to join us by viewing Mass on your personally owned device via our YouTube stream from the warmth and safety of your vehicle in our parking lot. During Communion, an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister will distribute Communion outside to those that watched Mass online and are able to receive.

Christmas Collection
Please consider making a one-time contribution to our Christmas collection. Due to COVID-19, our operating finances have been totally upended due to the increased cleaning costs and additional expenses for PPE, streaming, etc. This Christmas, please consider making a one-time donation to our Christmas collection. This fund will be used to help support our parish as we ultimately emerge stronger together from this pandemic. To make a donation, please click here.
COVID-19 Information
Because of COVID-19, we will not be able to accommodate our normal crowds of well over 1000 people per Mass. To help our staff and volunteers, who have already been stretched thin due to many of our regular volunteers not being able to assist at Mass, we are forced to take reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day-only.
We will stream all of our Masses. If you are not able to get a reservation or don’t feel comfortable coming into the church, consider joining us for Mass by sitting safely (and warmly) in your car. A Eucharistic Minister will come outside following Mass for those that are not able to get into the church for whatever reason.
Due to COVID-19 regulations put into place by Bishop Thomas, we will not have our popular Children’s Choir this year. Look for more information on the Children’s Choir to come once we return to “normal.”
By attending Christmas (and all liturgies) at St. Anthony’s, you agree to:
- Those in attendance are filmed and recorded for the live stream presentation.
- All participants over the age of two must wear face coverings.
- The doors open 30 minutes prior to your Mass.
- Social distancing must be observed.
- Everyone will have their temperature screened and must use hand sanitizer.
- Collection baskets are near the entrance – Please have your donation ready-there will be no collection during the Mass.
- There is no holy water available.
- You will be directed to an available seat. Every other pew must remain empty.
- There will be no Sign of Peace.
- To receive Communion, you will be asked to come forward. Your face covering must remain in place until after you say Amen.
- At the end of Mass, remain in your pew until a minister directs you to the exit doors.
- After Mass please go directly to your vehicle. Do not congregate on the parish campus.
Failure to comply with these simple requests will require us to ask you to leave. Please be charitable to your fellow Catholics, especially those volunteering their own time away from their family during this difficult Christmas season. If we all pitch in, this pandemic will be over sooner.
